Customize with Suite Chidori Engine Editor

Suite Chidori Engine Editor

For the Suite Chidori Engine, we offer a dedicated editor. The newly released function allows users to independently extend the existing functions of the Suite Chidori Engine Editor and implement them in applications.

This makes it easier to visually check the expression of the application in the editor's tree view, for example, to add processing over time to scenes created in the editor, or to implement interactive features such as changing colors when a texture is clicked.

New Feature

For each element in a scene created or loaded with the Chidori Editor, a framework can be automatically created to generate a new inherited class.

On the project tree in the editor, right-clicking on any object (any element in the scene) displays the "Customize" menu item, so simply specify the project output destination in the menu execution to create a project for class generation.

The generated project contains empty functions, and by writing and building the content you want to achieve, you can create a dll that can be used in your application.

The followings are the elements that can be customized in a scene:

  • Camera
  • Light
  • Model
  • Motion
  • Vertex buffer 2D/3D
  • Particle effect
  • Bitmap font
  • Sound
  • Movie
  • UI data
