FORUM8 Exhibit at Salone del Mobile.Milano Following Last Year

FORUM8 Co., Ltd. (2-15-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo. President Yuji Ito. URL: https://www.forum8.co.jp/english/) will make its second appearance at the "SUPERDESIGN SHOW" to take place during MILAN DESIGN WEEK in April 2023 in Milan as part of Salone del Mobile.Milano, the largest furniture design trade fair in the world, following last year’s success.

Under the theme "VR inspire Imagination, Innovation!"", FORUM8 will introduce its full lineup of Japanese VR CG software solutions that realize digital twins and Metaverse including an Integrated 3DCG software "Shade3D"; Web VR Platform "F8VPS (FORUM8 Virtual Platform System)"; 3D Virtual Reality software "VR Design Studio UC-win/Road"; and Cross Platform Game Engine "Suite Chidori Engine". The state-of-the-art solutions including various types of VR contents and simulator, earthquake simulator, and FEM analysis solutions of all kinds will be displayed in a single spacious studio, featuring the XR System linked with Transparent Display collaborating with an Italian furniture designer and manufacturer Tecno (Specification collaboration: Professor Hiroshi Ishii, MIT Media Lab) using Shade3D, hands-on corner for experiencing each solution, and a presentation corner.

While demonstrating its technology on this global platform, FORUM8 will also seek qualified sales partners who can promote and sell FORUM8 products and services within the Italian market.

Shade3D

An integrated type of 3D Computer Graphic software equipped with all the functions required for creating an authentic architectural perspective, interior design, and product design including high resolution modeling, layout, camera, global lighting, rendering, animation, and modeling for 3D printing. All user inputs can be performed within an intuitive interface.

F8VPS (FORUM8 Virtual Platform System)

Web VR Platform. A Web VR Platform that enables the construction of digital twins for many different purposes such as virtual offices, virtual showrooms, and urban space for various applications. F8VPS can be applied to Metaverse. The F8VPS can reproduce showrooms for furniture, home appliances, etc. as well as events and exhibitions, and, in conjunction with AR/MR devices, the F8VPS can simulate the arrangement of furniture, interior goods and accessories, plants, etc.

VR Design Studio UC-win/Road

Enables the creation of a wide range of 3DVR environments from interior design of a building and its surrounding environment to a large scale urban and rural space by intuitive operations. Offering various 3D models, textures, and materials via WEB DB, VR Design Studio UC-win/Road takes real-time simulation to the next level. What's more, the software's flexibility and scalability allow the cost-effective development of VR systems that can interpret and interact with various types of hardware out there in a short amount of time.

Suite Chidori Engine

A cross platform game engine that can run on many platforms including Windows, Android, iOS, etc. Development of games with furniture models from Shade3D and 3D model data interacting with each other is feasible.

XDS: XR Display System (Hiroshi Ishii MIT Media Lab. x FORUM8)

An XR System that can present various information on a transparent display by linking Tecno's furniture, 3D models of created by Shade 3D, and various contents together. Specification collaboration: Professor Hiroshi Ishii, MIT Media Lab.

VR360 Simulator

A 360-degree rotation type simulator. It works with wearable VR display devices to create dynamic and interactive VR simulations, including cities around the world and fictional cities.

Earthquake Simulator / VR Motion Seat

A 3-axis motion type simulator. It works with wearable VR display devices to simulates earthquake effects in offices and rooms using physics models and actual seismic waveforms.
