Asian Construction IT Round-table Meeting

Asian Construction IT Round-table Meeting is planned by Japan Construction Information Center (JACIC) since 2005. The key persons about construction IT of East Asia are gathered, and it is held.

The 7th meeting was held in Seoul Education and Culture Center June 28 (Tue) and 29 (Wed) this year. 36 researchers gathered from Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and India. Sessions, such as "construction automation", "The Tohoku earthquake report in Japan", "BIM", and "a presentation about construction IT", were performed. 

Forum8 also performed the presentation entitled "The practical use example of BIM in a BuildLive competition" for 20 minutes in special session on the 29th II "BIM".

 Forum 8 made a presentation of their effort for the competition event, Build Live Tokyo 2009 II, Build Live Tokyo 2010 held by IAI Japan and the international event, Build Live London where Forum8 was awarded Grand Prix, and introduced how we applied the software such as UC-win/Road, VR-Cloud, BIM soft Allplan, UC-win/FRAME(3D) and UC-1 series, etc. in each event with the demo.

The trend of BIM of each country was introduced in this "BIM" session. In the presentation of the professor Kim In-han of a Kyungsung university, it was decided upon the BIM guideline for public building two years ago in South Korea and it was also announced to held up the target to apply to all the public facilities in 2016.
In addition, in Japan, IAI Japan is advancing guideline decision.

This session is due to be introduced to construction-related a South Korean newspaper and magazine media.
