October 23, 2000 We added the following functions.
(1) The absolute response acceleration is added to node response results.
(2) The Residual Damage Button is added to the Main Result window and the Structure Results Analysis window. The Residual Damage Results are to be shown when the calculation is completed without a failure state.
(3) The Peak Damage Button is added to the Main Result window and the Structure Results Analysis window. The Element with experienced Damage is shown in a color form. The Strain Results Table of the damage element is shown by clicking on it in the display.
(4) The relationship formula between initial shear modulus Go and shear strength Su for the sand and clay material is added to the shear stiffness page and the shear velocity page of HELP.

We fixed the following problems.
(1) The input item of the poisson ratio for Universal Joint has been erased because it is not used in the universal joint element analysis.

(5) The formula of the relationship between the shear modulus Go and N value is fixed from Go=11.72N^0.8 to Go=11.76N^0.8

We updated the sample result data.
The result files of samples attached to our program are updated corresponding to this version.

Notice:
The result files by the old version cannot be taken into this version. Please recalculate when you need to review them.

(3) When the stopping step number of calculation is 95x10^N(N>=0), the overflow error occurs.
(4) There is a coding error for calculating tension stiffening/softening factor, Cx and Cy.
(5) The check of Suppress Results for some or all RC elements will result in calculation error
(6) When the project doesn't exist or a project is focused, an error message will turn up by clicking on the main toolbar icons,"3D"or"Zoom Extents"
(7) When the project doesn't exist for the first use of the program, the selection of "Rename Project..." or "Rename Mesh..." in the File menu will result in an error message.

We fixed the following problems:
1) The Poisson's Ratio of Concrete Materials could not be changed except the default value 0.18 in the Basic Mode.
2) The soil parameter title, Normalized Shear Strength, was added with ‘%’ in the Html Report to match with the parameter's value.
3) The Japanese translation of 'Add to Report' displayed on the main window after calculation was corrected to a suitable expression.
4) The 'Pe', generally representing the Effective Reinforcement Ratio, was wrongly shown in the RC joint editor window. We fixed it to 'P'.
5) The precision of the default Tensile Strength of concrete computed from its input compressive strength was raised.
6) The effective range of Poisson's Ratio input for soil materials was wrongly set to 0.1~0.9. We fixed it to 0.1~0.499.
7) The Help button in the Colour Editor window was deleted for its incompetence.
8) The disorder arrangement of the items in the Option menu was reset for the Mesh and WCOMD main window.
9) That the error message would appear when the OK button of Edit Quake Signal window was clicked without any wave Add was fixed.
10) The label of "Gap Open-Closure Stiffness" in the RC joint material editing window was modified to "Gap Closure Stiffness".

October 30,
2001
We added and upgraded the following functions:
1) It is enable to import and create the MESH data by linking with UC-win/RC.

1.01.07
-->
1.01.08
February 06,
2002
We added and upgraded the following functions:
(UC-win/WCOMD)
1) The output font in the report export was linked with the Language Font change through Options->Settings.
2) Some words and icon hints in the Element Damage Window and Acceleration Result Window were translated into Japanese when the Japanese interface was set.
3) Since the same default color was used for the Light Damage Elements and Elastic Elements, the color of the Light Damage Elements was changed to YELLOW.
(UC-win/Mesh)
4) The parameter input limit for Shear Stiffness Closed, Contact Stiffness Closed, Shear Stiffness Open and Contact Stiffness Open of Universal Joint were relaxed to 0-99. Therefore the viscous boundary models and friction support models can be created.
5) The parameter input limits for soils were relaxed as below for the rock modeling.
N-value Standard Pernetration:1-99
Shear Strength Su: 0.001-99
Young's Modulus Eo: 0.01-9999
Initial Shear Stiffness Go: 0.01-9999
Shear Velocity Vs: 0.01-9999.

We fixed the following problems:
(UC-win/WCOMD)
1) The exported html report TITLE could not be changed with its modifying in the Report Generation window when the output form is File.
2) When the Dead Weight, Static and Dynamic analysis were combinedly carried out and the dynamic record began with some zero acceleration values, the dynamic calculation at zero value steps would continue the static calculation.
(UC-win/Mesh)
3) The new model was calculated with considering "Compressive reduction of steel" even though the box of "Compressive reduction of steel" in the Mesh Setting Editor window wasn't checked.
4) After creating a new concrete model (only plain concrete) in the ‘ New Mesh ’ window, if the model was calculated without opening the "Plate Editor" window, the program would conduct calculation with reinforcing ratios as "1%".
5) When the mesh model was imported from *.dat file, the unit weight of materials could not be input correctly due to the 981cm/sec^2. The 980.665cm/sec^2 should be used.
6) The Poisson Ratio input item in RC material parameter window was not used in fact in analysis. Thus it was deleted.

2002
We upgraded the following functions:
(UC-win/Mesh)
1) In Advanced Mode. the recommended values, E0, G0 and Vs, of soil materials were improved to display up to 3 decimal.
2) The computing precision for Tension Stiffness/Softening Factor of Plain Concrete was improved.

We fixed the following problems:
(UC-win/WCOMD)
1) The X axial label in the Total Reaction/Displacement window of Node Results was sometimes disappeared.
2) When the load data (*.dsd) with dead, static and dynamic (only X direction) forces was imported, the acceleration maximum value was displayed 999.999.
3) While the Stress/Strain of Structure Results window was playing, the click of Analysis button "R" would cause the program becoming stiffening.
(UC-win/Mesh)
4) In Advanced Mode, the input parameters, E0, G0 and Vs, of soil materials could not be expressed as decimal when the Material Editor was reopened.
5) In Advanced Mode, the input range for "Shear Viscosity Damping" and "Normal Viscosity Damping" of Universal Joint were modified from 0-0.3 to 0-99.999.
6) In Advanced Mode, the Apply Button in the soil material editor window was activated when Su was changed.
7) When Plain Concrete elements were the end element in defining Universal Joints, the assertion error would appear and the definition failed.
8) The repeating action of Undo after changing section definition would cause the zero results in the sectional forces.

We added and fixed help files as below:
1) The "Shear Viscosity Damping" and "Normal Viscosity Damping" topics in the Explanation of Technical Terms of Engineering Notes were modified.
2) The "Gauss Points" topic was added to [Engineering Notes] -> [Explanation of Technical Terms].
3) The NOTE about UC-win/RC was added to [Beginners Guide To UCwin/MESH] ->[Create a new project] and [Beginners Guide To UCwin/WCOMD] -> [Open a Mesh Data]

We updated the sample data:
1) The Japanese characters in the head of the attached acceleration files (*.acc) were translated into English.
2) The "samplesdata.ucw" and "cylinder(s1).res" were updated because the computing precision for Tension Stiffness/Softening Factor of Plain Concrete was improved.
3) The acceleration waves were added which are cited in REFERENCE FOR SEISMIC DESIGN OF HIGHWAY BRIDGES, 1997.3,

We changed the installing folder:
The default folder of installation was changed with the reorganization of the Product Category.
